On 5/31/23 at 1515 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a small passenger car on Robinson Loop Rd. near Julie Bowman Avenue in Sterling. Investigation revealed the driver, Gina Marie Cole-Kroto, age 41 of Sterling, had an outstanding arrest warrant for Failure to Appear for arraignment with an original charge of Criminal Trespass 1st degree. Further investigation revealed she was in possession of a small amount of three different controlled substances and is on Conditions of Release for a prior misdemeanor charge. Cole-Kroto was arrested and remanded at Wildwood pretrial without bail on her warrant along with two charges of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance 5th degree and a charge of Violating Conditions of Release.

On 05/30/23, Court Services Officers assigned to Palmer Judicial Services arrested Zane Finger, age 25 from Wasilla. Finger had an active warrant for his arrest for Criminal Trespass in the First Degree. Finger was remanded to Goose Creek Correctional.

On 05/30/2023 at approximately 2153 hours, Palmer AST received the report of a trespass at the Talkeetna Guesthouse. AST responded to the location and determined Kevin Tupper Aged 54 of Talkeetna committed the crime of Criminal Trespass. Tupper was arrested and transported to MatSu Pretrail where he was remanded on his charge.

It was reported that 16 of 20 of the taxiway lights were broken at the Kotlik airport. Investigation resulted in the arrest of 40 YOA Seth Aparezuk of Kotlik for Assault 4, Criminal Mischief 4 and the crime of Obstruct Airport.

On May 31, 2023 Troopers attempted to stop 2 motorcycles for speeding. Neither motorcycle stopped and a pursuit was initiated. The two bikers took different directions and only one could be actively pursued. Troopers were able to determine both riders are members of the Rock Machine Motorcycle Club. Ultimately, the pursuit was discontinued for safety purposes. An investigation is still ongoing. An investigation revealed Rhiannon was driving while under the influence of alcohol with a BrAC of .120. Rhiannon was arrested and transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center where she was remanded.

On 05/31/2023 at approximately 1055 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a female stealing mail from boxes on Goldhill Rd. near Doc John Dr. When confronted by the complainant, the suspect female abandoned her vehicle and fled on foot into the trees along with another female from the vehicle. Troopers determined that the female suspect was likely Teresa Jensen, 42, of Fairbanks. The Fairbanks Criminal Suppression Unit (FCSU), with the assistance of Helo 2 and K9 Kenny were deployed to the area along with patrol Troopers.
After starting a track, K9 Kenny located a female in the woods in the neighboring area. The female was identified as Kimberly Baird, 39, of Fairbanks. Baird had an outstanding $100,000 felony warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment for Theft 2nd Degree and a $10,000 felony warrant for Probation Violation (ref 4FA-22-00718CR, 4FA-23-00716CR). Baird was placed under arrest.
Shortly after Baird was placed under arrest, a neighborhood citizen contacted Troopers to report he had seen a female walking down a powerline trail in the area. Troopers then located the female on foot and identified her as Teresa Jensen. Jensen had an outstanding $10,000 felony warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment for Theft 2nd Degree, a $5,000 felony warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment for Theft 3rd Degree, and a $5,000 felony warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment for 2 counts of Misconduct Involving Controlled Substance 4th Degree and Driving While License Cancelled, Suspended or Revoked. (ref. 4FA-22-02046CR, 4FA-22-02621CR, 4FA-23-00421CR). Jensen was apprehended and placed under arrest.

Upon arrival, EMS pronounced Marinus Seesink (86) of Holland deceased. Investigation revealed no signs of foul play. Next of Kin was on scene and has been notified.

Investigation resulted in Troopers charging Ashley Lane with being on a premise that sells alcohol while she had restrictions which prohibited her from purchasing alcohol. She was cited and released on scene.

UPDATE: On June 8, 2023, at 11:00 am, divers from the Sitka Fire Department recovered the deceased body of Morgan Robidou from the Low Island area after he was spotted by salvage crews working to recover the outboard motors from the vessel. Robidou’s body will be sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy. Next of kin has been notified. The US Coast Guard's investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing. Robert Solis remains missing.
UPDATE: June 5, 2023. The sunken charter vessel has been successfully salvaged and returned to Sitka. The USCG investigation as to the circumstances surrounding the sinking of the vessel is ongoing. Robert Solis and Morgan Robidou remain missing. Search efforts are based on a limited, reactive search. If new clues or information are reported to law enforcement, search efforts will be evaluated at that time.
UPDATE: On May 31, 2023, at approximately 5:00 pm, two female bodies were recovered from the sunken vessel, they are believed to be Danielle Agcaoili and Brandi Tyau. The bodies are being transported to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Anchorage for examination and positive identification. Robert Solis and Morgan Robidou remain missing from this incident. Vessel recovery efforts are continuing.
On May 28, 2023, at 10:22 pm, Alaska State Troopers were notified of a 30-foot charter vessel with five people on board that had capsized in the area of Low Island in Sitka Sound. One person was located unresponsive in the water near the vessel by the U.S. Coast Guard and transported to the Hospital in Sitka where they were pronounced deceased. Four other people are still missing.
The Person that was located and confirmed deceased is identified as:
Maury Agcaoili, 57-year-old male of Waipahu, Hawaii. (Charter passenger)
The four persons that are still missing are identified as:
Danielle Agcaoili, 53-year-old female of Waipahu, Hawaii. (Charter passenger)
Robert Solis, 61-year-old male of Canoga Park, California. (Charter passenger)
Brandi Tyau, 56-year-old female of Canoga Park, California. (Charter passenger)
Morgan Robidou 32-year-old male of Sitka, Alaska. (Boat Operator/Captain)
Efforts to recover the partially submerged vessel are ongoing. Conditions on scene have been rough seas and strong wind. Agencies involved include the U.S. Coast Guard, Sitka Fire Department Dive Team, Sitka Search and Rescue, NOAA Office of Law Enforcement, and Alaska State Troopers. Hanson Maritime is assisting with coordination and vessel recovery efforts.
