On 09/02/2025 at approximately 2210 hours, AST received a report of an assault. AST responded to the incident location in Houston and contacted the suspect, identified as Eric Meador (57 M). Investigation revealed that Eric had assaulted his girlfriend. He was arrested and transported to MSPT, where he was remanded and held without bail.

On 9/2/2025 at approximately 18:13 hours AST received a report of a single vehicle collision on the Glenn Highway near Farm Loop. A caller reported a vehicle went off the roadway and struck a tree. Investigation revealed the driver, Jason Johnson (53), was intoxicated. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial for DUI. CJK0

On 9/3/25, at approximately 1610 hours, AST responded to a REDDI report on S Phenix Ave in Wasilla. The vehicle was located, and the driver was identified as James Cohen. A handgun was found in James's possession and investigation revealed the James was a convicted felon. James was arrested for MIW 3 and VCOR and was remanded to MSPT where he was held without bail.

On 09/03/2025 at approximately 1846 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop for an equipment and moving violation near the intersection of Parks Highway and N. Stanley Road. Investigation revealed Calvin Wiggins, age 29 of Palmer, was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Calvin was placed under arrest for felony DUI and driving in violation of limited driver’s license. Calvin was transported to Mat-Su Pretrial, where he was remanded and held without bail.

Investigation revealed Jay Emery, age 69, of Wasilla, had operated a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Emery was arrested and remanded to Mat-Su Pre-Trial.

On 09/03/2025, at approximately 1140 hours, AST received multiple REDDI reports of a white Toyota Corolla driving erratically on the Parks Highway. Troopers located the vehicle at a business on W Parks Highway in Wasilla and contacted the driver, identified as Jonathan Christian, age 34 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed Christian was operating the vehicle while impaired by alcohol. Christian was arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial, where he was released on his own recognizance.

On September 1st, 2025, the Alaska State Troopers were notified of a theft from the new school construction site in Napakiak. Two suspects came to the construction site on an ATV during the night and stole over $4,000 worth of tools and equipment. Troopers responded and conducted an investigation resulting in the arrest of Jason Ayaglaria, 45, of Napakiak. Troopers recovered the majority of the stolen items in Ayagalria's shed next to his residence. Ayagalria was on felony probation for Assault 2nd Degree and was in possession of a shotgun at the time of Trooper contact -- a violation of his probation conditions. Additional evidence of alcohol consumption was also recovered and in violation of his probation conditions. Ayagalria was placed under arrest for Theft 2nd Degree and Probation Violation and remanded to the Yukon Kuskokwim Correctional Center without incident.

On 9/1/2025, the Alaska State Troopers in Bethel were notified that Tiana Nose, 27, of Akiachak had violated a protective order after approaching the petitioner while they were shopping. Nose had an outstanding warrant for her arrest as well. Nose was placed under arrest by a VPSO and remanded to the Akiachak Jail. Troopers responded the next day and transported Nose to Bethel where she was remanded to the Yukon Kuskokwim Correctional Center.

In the early morning hours of September 3, 2025, Alaska State Troopers attempted to stop a blue Subaru WRX for driving 86 MPH in a 40 MPH residential zone near Holmes Road in North Pole. The driver, later identified as 36-year-old Steve Alan Wilson, failed to yield and led Troopers on a pursuit that reached speeds in excess of 100 MPH. The chase continued through a stop sign and onto an unpaved trail, where Wilson ultimately lost control and crashed into a ditch, resulting in no injuries. Wilson was remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges, including Felony DUI, Felony Failure to Stop, Reckless Endangerment, and Misconduct Involving Weapons.

On 09/01/2025 at approximately 1000 hours, AWT received a report of a suspicious male along the Flattop power line trail in Anchorage, roaming the tree line with a game bag. AWT responded to the area and contacted 28-year-old Logan Baston, who said he had just killed a bull moose. Through investigation, it was determined that Logan had killed the moose inside the Anchorage management area, where moose are not in season. A mandatory court citation was issued.

On Sept. 2, 2025, Alaska Wildlife Troopers received a report around 1:45 p.m. that an adult male had fallen into a stream on Mendenhall Glacier and was missing after he was pushed by the water into a small, vertical opening in the ice. The two people he was traveling with could no longer see him once he fell into the opening. Juneau Mountain Rescue deployed a technical ice rescue team, who subsequently discovered the roughly 2-foot-wide hole was filled with rushing water. It was determined to be too dangerous to attempt to locate the missing man, pending any further leads. He was a resident of Italy and efforts are ongoing to notify his next of kin.

On 9-3-2025 at about 1545 hours at the Nesbett Courthouse in Anchorage, Troopers and Court Services Officer were called up to customer service for an individual with a outstanding arrest warrant. Verifying the information on 24 year old Anchorage resident Thomas Michel West he not only had the arrest warrant but two bench warrants for his arrest. the arrest warrant original charge of Assault-Reckless physical injury 3AN-24-5082CR, bench warrant for original charge of Attempted Assault 2 fail to comply with conditions of probation 3AN-21-01144CR, and bench warrant for the original charge of Misconduct Weapons in the 3rd degree, fail to comply with conditions of probation 3AN-20-09924. West was arrested, transported to Anchorage Jail and remanded on all the warrants with bail set at No bail on the arrest warrant, $1000 C/C on attempted Assault 2 case and $1500 and not to be released until court approves condition of release on the MIW3 case.
