On 10/10/2024, at approximately 2024 hours, AST was notified of a domestic altercation that occurred in the village of Chenega. The initial report was of a community member who had gone to the community clinic for care having observable injuries. AST was delayed in responding to the village due to significant weather, and later arrived on 10/13/2024. Investigation led to the arrest of 29yoa Richard Kompkoff Jr for recklessly causing physical injury to a family member. Richard was placed under arrested, transported to Seward where he was remanded without bail to Spring Creek Correctional Center on the charges of Assault 3 and Assault 4. Alcohol was a significant factor in this event.

On 10/12/24 at approximately 2300 hours, AST conducted a traffic stop on a van in Palmer. The driver was identified as Philip Burnell age (39) of Anchorage, who was currently on felony probation for murder in the second degree. Investigation led to the arrest of Phillip for violating his probation conditions by drinking alcohol, and was arrested for PTRP. Subsequent investigation revealed other passengers in the vehicle who were not wearing their seat belts had outstanding warrants for their arrests. Ronald Brower age (37) who had a felony $100,000 warrant for his arrest for original charge of MICS 3 and Harry Stotts age (37) also had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear, original charge of OUI. AST arrested Harry and Ronald on there warrants and Philip for PTRP. All were transported to Matsu Pretrial where they were remanded.

On 10/13/2024 at approximately 0919 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a lost/stolen Can Am Side by Side, last seen in the area of Vine Road in Wasila. It is believed that the Can Am separated from the trailer that was towing it and has not been located since. Anyone with information on this incident is urged to contact Troopers, Crime Stoppers, or AK Tips.

Location: Big LakeType: Assault III DV, Warrant Arrest, & K9 ApprehensionDispatch Text:
On 10/13/2024 at approximately 1230 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to an address on Fox Loop in Big Lake for a DV Assault. Investigation led to the arrest of Galen Courtright, age 43 of Big Lake, for Assault III DV and two felony probation warrants for Felony DUI and Assault III DV. Further, Courtright failed to comply with the directions of Troopers and was ultimately apprehended by AST K9 Lavi. Courtright was remanded to the custody of the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held without bail.

On 10/13/2024 at approximately 1245 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a vehicle theft from an address on Mulchatna Drive in Wasilla. On October 10th, 2024, at approximately 1445 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a burglary after the fact in Wasilla. Investigation revealed Thomas Kammer, age 53 of Wasilla, unlawfully entered a residence on October 7th, 2024, stealing 92 bank checks. Thomas then used a printer to forge documents but ultimately left a check behind, which was found the following day and reported. On October 12th, 2024, Thomas was arrested for burglary and theft. Thomas was remanded at MSPT without bail pending arraignment.

On 10/13/2024 at approximately 0100 hours AST received a report of an assault in the area of home run drive in Big Lake. The investigation revealed that NASTASIA ALBRITE assaulted a former partner. She was remanded to Matsu Pre-trial for assault in the fourth-degree domestic violence with no bail.

On October 13, 2024, AST received a report of an assault involving domestic violence at a house in Unalakleet. AST responded to the scene and determined Jason S. Toshavik (31 yoa of Unalakleet) assaulted two women/ family members by placing both of them in fear of imminent physical injury during the early morning hours. Toshavik assaulted one of the women by punching her about her face and head repeatedly as he threatened to kill both women. The victim of the physical assault suffered serious injuries on her face and head. AST arrested Jason Toshavik for 4 counts of Assault in the 3rd Degree (felony) and 2 counts of Assault in the 4th Degree.

On October 9, 2024, AST received a report of an assault involving domestic violence at a house in Stebbins. AST responded to Stebbins to investigate the assault. Investigation determined Alexandria Niksik (31 yoa) of Saint Michael assaulted a household member by hitting him in the face and head with cell phone, which caused bruising and swelling to the victim's face. AST arrested Niksik for Assault in the 3rd Degree and transported her to AMCC in Nome.

On October 10, 2024, AST responded to Stebbins to investigate illegal manufacturing of alcohol (homebrew) and sale of alcohol without a permit. AST served a search warrant at a house and seized evidence of both crimes. AST obtained sufficient evidence to charge a person with the crimes. Once the investigation is complete, an updated dispatch will be sent out. AST encourages witnesses who have information about alcohol importation, manufacturing, or selling alcohol in local option communities to call the drug & alcohol tip line at 1-800-789-3222. Callers can remain anonymous.

On 09/27/2024, Troopers on the Parks Highway investigated an abandoned vehicle at Mile 211 Parks Highway. A suspect was identified as the owner of the abandoned vehicle. On 10/12/2024 Troopers contacted Kenneth Ross, age 39 from Fairbanks. Investigation determined Kenneth drove the vehicle to where it was left beside the road and he intentionally used license plates from another vehicle. Kenneth was issued misdemeanor summons for DWLR and Misuse of Plates.

On October 13, 2024 at approximately 0200 hours the Fairbanks Criminal Suppression Unit contacted Troy Hall, 40, of Fairbanks near Wendell Ave./Hall St. Hall was found to have an outstanding $500 misdemeanor arrest warrant for Failure to Appear for Pretrial Conference Hearing (ref. 4FA-23-02491CR). Hall was placed under arrest and remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center.

On 10/12/2024 at 1842 hours an off-duty State Trooper stopped near Mile 193 Parks Highway, near Cantwell to assist another motorist who went into the ditch. While checking on the vehicle in the ditch the off-duty Trooper became concerned that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. Subsequent investigation determined the driver, Andrew Dickman, age 37 from Fairbanks was under the influence of alcohol with a breath alcohol level of 0.240 BrAC. Dickman was arrested and remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center where he was held on $500 bail.

On October 13th 2024, at about 1131 hours, Trooper received a REDDI Report for an intoxicated driver in the area Yvonne Ave. After contacting the REDDI vehicle and further investigation, Troopers placed the driver, Misha Mantle, under arrest for DUI. Misha was transported to FCC without incident.

AST responded and investigation resulted in the arrest of a juvenile for assaulting a family member.
