    Location: Seward
    Type: Theft 2 x 4, MICS 5, Warrant Arrest

    Dispatch Text:

    On 7/17/2025 at approximately 1910 hours, Seward AST was notified of a suspicion of a theft that had just occurred at a residence near Seward Highway and Herman Leirer Rd in Seward. The complainant advised that a female had just left his residence and stolen his wallet containing over $1,000 cash. AST responded to the area and located the female, later identified as Tanisha Stephens, age 33 of Anchorage, walking north on the highway. Investigation located the stolen wallet concealed in her belongings, as well as controlled substances and associated paraphernalia. Stephens was arrested and transported to Wildwood Pretrial Facility, where she was held on the charges of Theft 2 x 4 and Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance 5 and held without bail pending arraignment. Stephens additionally had a $5,000 arrest warrant from Anchorage for Failure to Appear.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 7/17/2025 AST responded to the area of Lazy Eight Ct in Palmer for a disturbance.  The investigation showed that Ashlee Hiner, age 38 of Kodiak, assaulted a romantic partner then drove a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.  She then struck a building with the vehicle and fled the scene without reporting the collision.  After being placed under arrest she also made threats towards the victim of the assault in the presence of AST.  She was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial where she was charged with criminal mischief 3, assault 4 (DV), driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident and unlawful contact 2 and given no bail.

    Location: Big Lake
    Type: Veh Theft 1, False Info, MIW 4, Criminal Trespass 2

    Dispatch Text:

    On 07/17/2025 at approximately 1640 hours AST received a report of a verbal disturbance at the 3 bears convenience store in Big Lake, AK. A male, later identified as Jace Fesler, age 41, of Big Lake, was in a verbal altercation with employees as he had previously been trespassed from the store. He then got onto a motorcycle and left before AST arrival. AST contacted Mr. Fesler at a separate convenience store in Big Lake. He identified himself with a false name to AST multiple times and was found to be carrying Brass Knuckles on his person.  In addition, the owner of the motorcycle Mr. Fesler was driving called to report the vehicle stolen from Anchorage while AST was on scene. The vehicle was impounded pending proof of ownership. 

    Mr. Fesler was arrested and remanded for Vehicle Theft 1, False Information, MIW4, and Criminal Trespass 2. He was transported to Matsu Pretrial where he is being held without bail.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 7/18/2025 AST located a vehicle driving recklessly on the Palmer-Wasilla Hwy heading towards Palmer.  The vehicle was swerving in between lanes and showed signs of an impaired driver.  Before any Law Enforcement contact by AST the vehicle was deemed a risk to public safety.  AST and Palmer Police attempted to stop the vehicle in the area of CARRS in Palmer, but it fled, and a pursuit began.  AST was able to deploy spikes and deflate the majority of the tires while still in Palmer, but the vehicle still fled recklessly.  During the pursuit the driver Darren David, age 31 of Anchorage, struck multiple citizen vehicles.  Darren eventually crashed his vehicle in the area of Muldoon and caused serious injury to a passenger in the vehicle.  Darren was transported to Mat-Su Pretrial where he was remanded for failure to stop at direction of peace officer 1, assault 2, criminal mischief 3, driving under the influence, reckless driving, fleeing the scene of an accident (2 counts) and given no bail.

    On 07/18/2025 at about 1221, AST received a report of a missing vulnerable person. Myra Lanthier, age 72 of Palmer, was reported missing. She was last heard from on 7/17/25 at approximately 0830 hours. Myra was last seen at the Palmer Caboose 1 to 2 days ago, with an unknown clothing description. Anyone having any information should contact the Alaska State Troopers.

    On 7/17/25,at 1631 hours, a property manager for the old First Presbyterian Church of Tok, came to Tok Post to report a break in at the church.  Investigation determine an unknown subject cut through a plywood covering to gain entry into the church.  The property owner is going to do an inventory to determine if any assets have been stolen.  This investigation is ongoing .

    On July 17th at approximately 1845 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a suspicious circumstances call on Nordale Road.  The complainant stated that he had been threatened with a gun by his ex-wife, Kimberly Griffiths.  Based on the circumstances, there is probable cause that Kimberly committed the crime of Assault in the third degree, weapon misconduct with a weapon, and was in violation of her probation.  Kimberly was arrested the following day and remanded to FCC without incident.

    On 07/17/2025, Alaska Wildlife Troopers contacted Alexander Cherepanov, age 43 of Gervais Oregon, while sportfishing for salmon in an area closed year-round to salmon fishing.  Investigation showed Cherepanov caught at least one salmon with a heavy gauge weighted treble hook.  The hook was seized and Cherepanov was issued citations for sportfishing in closed waters for salmon and snagging for salmon.
