    On 08/08/2025 at approximately 1535 hours, Court Services Officers assigned to Palmer Judicial Services arrested Patrick Dean, age 35, of Palmer on an outstanding arrest warrant for Theft in the Second Degree. Dean was served with the warrant while in-custody at Matsu Pretrial Facility in Palmer on unrelated charges. Bail was set at $250 cash appearance.

    On 08/13/2025 at approximately 1500 hours AST received a "REDDI" report in the Meadow Lakes area. Investigation revealed the driver, Alexander Huckstep, pointed a firearm at the 5 occupants of the vehicle that was calling in the report on him.

    Huckstep was arrested for 5 counts of Assault 3 and transported to MSPT where he is being held without bail.

Subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of 35-year-old Nick Fred of Akiachak and 26-year-old Nelson Phillip of Akiachak on charges of Driving Under the Influence. Both were remanded at YKCC.

State Troopers responded and arrested 27-year-old Kagan Peter of Akiachak on charges of Burglary in the 1st Degree, Assault in the 3rd Degree, Trespassing in the 1st Degree, Resisting Arrest, and Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer. He was remanded to YKCC.

Subsequent investigation resulted in 35-year-old Paul Brown of Mt. Village being arrested on charges of Assault 3 and Assault 4. He was transported to Bethel and remanded to YKCC.

The State Medical Examiner was notified, and the remains were released to the next of kin.

Subsequent investigation resulted in Stanley Mark, age 52 of Tetlin, being issued criminal, misdemeanor citations with mandatory court dates for both Driving With a Revoked License and for No Liability Insurance.

    On 8/9/2025 at approximately 1131 hours, Alaska Wildlife Troopers were conducting a patrol on the Kenai River. Christopher Morlock, age 41, from Soldotna, was fishing from a boat for Coho Salmon. Investigation revealed that Christopher reached his coho limit, and per regulations, you are not allowed to fish for any species of fish below the Soldotna bridge after reaching your Coho salmon limit for the day. A citation was filed with the Kenai Court.

A Kenai River Fishing Guide Jimmy Ottinger age 54 from Virgina was contacted fishing for Coho Salmon with clients. Investigation revealed Jimmy was using Sardine oil on his lures. A mandatory court citation was filed with the Kenai Courthouse.
