    Dispatch Text:

    On 12/29/2024, at approximately 1855 hours, AST conducted a traffic stop on Bridge Access Rd in Kenai. Investigation revealed the driver, Michael Sellers, age 22 of Kenai, was operating a vehicle without motor vehicle insurance and had failed to title the vehicle as required. Sellers was released with a summons to appear at a later date.

    Dispatch Text:

    on 12/29/2024 at approximately 2153 hours AST received a call for a domestic disturbance in the Area of Kasilof.  Investigation lead AST to contact Robert Greer, 62 of Ninilchik.  Investigation revealed Greer had operated his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and was subsequently arrested for DUI.  Greer was issued a summons to appear at a later date.

    Dispatch Text:

    On 12/29/2024 at approximately 2249 hours, AST received a crash notification from an iPhone near mile 13.5 Petersville Road. Upon arrival AST contacted the driver, Randall Poston 62 years old of Eagle River, of the CanAm SXS that was involved in the crash. The investigation revealed that Poston committed the crime of driving under the influence. Randall also refused to provide a breath sample when requested. Randall was arrested without incident for DUI and refusal to submit to a chemical test, and transported to Matsu Pretrial where he was held on a 500-dollar bail.

    Type: Disorderly Conduct

    Dispatch Text:

    On 12/30/2024 at approximately 0530 hours, MATCOM dispatch received seventeen 911 calls for a female walking in the middle of the Parks Highway. Investigation revealed, Geneva Smith 22 YOA of Wasilla, was recklessly creating a hazard for traffic driving on the highway causing them to avoid her. Geneva was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and remanded at Mat-Su pretrial. Based on the number of 911 calls, a bail hearing was held, and Geneva was held until arraignments.

    On 12/29/2024, at approximately 2033 hours, MATCOM dispatch received a 911 misdial from a residence on Hassler Drive in Wasilla. Troopers responded, and investigation revealed Rachael Kennedy, 51 of Wasilla, was in violation of her conditions of release. Rachael was arrested and transported to Matsu Pretrial where she was remanded and held without bail.

    On 12/30/2024 at approximately 1145 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to Mat-Su Regional Hospital for a report of an assault. Investigation led to the arrest of Kimberlynn Brownsberger, age 20 of Palmer, for Assault IV. She was remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held on $1000 bail.

    Dispatch Text:

    On December 29,2024, at 1:30am, Alaskan State Troopers attempted to stop a vehicle for suspicion of DUI, based on several lane violations.  The vehicle failed to yield and fled from the Fairbanks area to the North Pole area.  The vehicle reached speeds of over 80 miles per hour on the very icy and slick roads. The vehicle came within feet of other vehicles on the roadway who were properly yielding to the emergency lights.  Spikes were successfully deployed, and the vehicle stopped on Badger Road.  The driver, Crystal Leavitt age 33 of North Pole, was taken into custody without further incident.  Investigation showed that she was impaired.  She refused Datamaster and was remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center.

    On 12/29/2024 at approximately 1837 hours, AST received a report of a burglary at 3180 Laurance Road in North Pole. An investigation revealed Travis Blevins, age 43 of North Pole, and Beverly Peterson, age 35 of North Pole, broke into the residence, stole multiple items, and caused thousands of dollars in damage to the home. Travis and Beverly were both remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center on the charges of Burglary, Theft, and Criminal Mischief.

    On 12/29/2024 at 1641, Alaska State Troopers responded to a motor vehicle collision on the intersection of University and Airport in Fairbanks. The two vehicle collision resulted in one person being injured, who was transported to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital. Scene was cleared and normal traffic resumed.

    On December 30, 2024 at 5:06 PM, Alaska State Troopers responded to the report of a vehicle in the ditch on the Tok Cutoff Hwy. Subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of Darwin Nelson, age 65 of Slana, for Driving Under the Influence, Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test, and Failure to Title a Vehicle Within 30 Days of Purchase. Darwin was released on his own recognizance, but held for sleep-off until sober.

    Type: Sexual Abuse of a Minor

    Dispatch Text:

    On December 27, 2024, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of the sexual abuse of a teenager in Toksook Bay. The Alaska Bureau of Investigation’s Yukon Kuskokwim Child Abuse Investigation Unit took case responsibility and began investigating the allegations. Troopers determined that 21-year-old Toksook Bay resident Patrick Quenton had provided marijuana to the juvenile and then sexually abused the juvenile. Quenton was arrested on January 14, 2025, and remanded to Yukon Kuskokwim Correctional Center on charges of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor and Sexual Abuse of a Minor in the Second Degree.
